Displaying Superheroes

Hi,

like others, I have recently started collecting Super Heroes minifigures. At first I wasn't bothering with accessories but I just got Captain America and can't keep him away from the shield. My question is: do you keep the accessories with the minifigs in your collection? Thus far I was sticking to the BL inventories but now I'm not so sure...
