I got back into Lego about 10 months ago and went nuts. I have bought a lot of sets - I own about 100 of them now. Of these, 5 were missing pieces - the most any one set was ever missing was two pieces. The largest piece was a 1x2 brick.
Today, in the mail, I received a letter from Lego. They asked me for the name of the store I bought my last set at that was missing pieces and they asked for a copy of my receipt.
I figured missing pieces was par for the course and that it happened to everyone, regardless of how precise Lego claims their automated machines are.
So I was just curious, does Lego think I am lying to them or is this type of letter standard?
